Description
The silk 15 colour boxes are designed to give stitchers a palette of coordinating colours that sit beautifully together in a single project or can be split up to add something special to a piece. Our fine weight silk is an excellent thread for hand quilting, hand embroidery, cross stitch and blackwork, and has even been used in lace and hardanger. Although it is not a split-able thread it can be doubled or tripled up to great effect for a more dramatic line.
Our 100% pure Spun Silk – fine weight, is a strong and smooth silk with a beautiful sheen. It is incredibly well behaved as a silk thread, with significantly less knotting and ‘fluffing’ than silk floss or filament.
The hand dyed nature of the thread means that even our ‘plain’ colours have a subtle variation along the length of the thread, adding depth and interest to your stitch work.
