A young boy carrying a small fir tree and a basket of rosy red apples, cookies, and gingerbread through the snow as more large flakes drift down. He is dressed in a red jacket, a striped muffler, black cap, tan corduroy knickerbockers, and gray wool gaiters. He is heading away from a house partially hidden by the snowy hilltop, so perhaps he plans to set up a Christmas tree for the birds and animals. (About 1880) This pattern is solidly stitched. Any color fabric may be used.

Recommended fabric: 16 count or higher.
Please note Scarlet Quince designs have blended threads, and our kits are designed for stitching “over 1”.
So if you prefer to use full crosses, you will need 25 count or lower as our kits for 28 and 32 count are designed for stitching with 1 strand over 1 thread (which isn’t possible when you have 2 colours).
14 count kits can come with either 14 count aida or 28 count evenweave (for stitching over 2)
18 and 20 count kits are provided with aida
25, 28 and 32 count kits are provided with evenweave.
