Layaway Terms And Conditions

Our layaway plan refers to a payment plan whereby a customer can pay off their order in equal monthly amounts until paid in full. Products are not shipped until the order is fully paid for. Items are held until the order is paid for; if the layaway is cancelled by either party, the items are no longer held, and re-offered for general sale. 

Layaways can be cancelled any time by the customer up until shipments being sent, and for 3 months of delinquent payments by Paine Free Crafts. Layaway payments already made will be refunded in full, minus a 20% restocking fee for physical merchandise; and a 20% fee for royalties paid on PDF’s or printed charts. Refund of payments will be made in the chosen method of Paine Free Crafts, either by PayPal, or bank transfer.

Made-to-order kits

Paine Free Crafts kits are not held as completed stock. Each kit is individually produced after ordering according to the customer’s selections, including the design, fabric count, fabric type and chart format. We cut the fabric and assemble the required threads and other components specifically for that order.

Because kits are made to the customer’s selected specifications, they are exempt from the normal change-of-mind cancellation and return rights that apply to standard online purchases.

However, we may agree to accept an unopened kit as a discretionary goodwill return if it is a design and fabric specification that we are reasonably likely to resell. This will normally be limited to recent or popular designs in commonly requested fabric counts. Acceptance is entirely at our discretion and must be agreed with us before the kit is returned.

Where a goodwill return is accepted, the customer is responsible for the return postage. The kit must be returned unopened, complete, undamaged and in resaleable condition. Any personalised printed chart or PDF supplied with the order remains non-refundable.

If you contact us before production of your kit has begun, we may also be able to cancel or amend it. Please contact us as quickly as possible, although we cannot guarantee that changes will be possible once an order has entered production.
