Lady Godiva on her legendary ride through Coventry. She had urged her husband to reduce the oppressive taxes to no avail, but finally he agreed providing she would ride naked through the town. She issued a proclamation that everyone should stay indoors, rode through town covered only by her long hair, and the taxes were reduced. She is seated on a richly caparisoned dapple-gray palfrey, with her head modestly bowed, and is passing a stone arched doorway. (Classicist, about 1898) This pattern is solidly stitched. Any color fabric may be used.

Recommended fabric: 16 count or higher.
Please note Scarlet Quince designs have blended threads, and our kits are designed for stitching “over 1”.
So if you prefer to use full crosses, you will need 25 count or lower as our kits for 28 and 32 count are designed for stitching with 1 strand over 1 thread (which isn’t possible when you have 2 colours).
14 count kits can come with either 14 count aida or 28 count evenweave (for stitching over 2)
18 and 20 count kits are provided with aida
25, 28 and 32 count kits are provided with evenweave.
