A medieval queen in a white gown embroidered with gold standing at the foot of her throne to knight a victorious warrior.  He wears a red tunic bearing insignia of a black eagle and crescent over chain mail, and kneels on a leather cushion with his helmet set to the side.  The thick walls of the fortress are disguised with purple hangings.  At the door a small crowd observes the ceremony, including an old man holding the knight’s standard, a page boy with his shield, and a monk.  This is the sequel to God Speed, which we offer in a compatible size.  See BLA001-B for a chart of this painting in which the background is not stitched, or BLA001-D for a portion of the full painting with background.  (Pre-Raphaelite, 1901) This pattern is solidly stitched. Any color fabric may be used.

Recommended fabric: 16 count or higher.

Please note Scarlet Quince designs have blended threads, and our kits are designed for stitching “over 1”.

So if you prefer to use full crosses, you will need 25 count or lower as our kits for 28 and 32 count are designed for stitching with 1 strand over 1 thread (which isn’t possible when you have 2 colours).

14 count kits can come with either 14 count aida or 28 count evenweave (for stitching over 2)
18 and 20 count kits are provided with aida

25, 28 and 32 count kits are provided with evenweave.
