2024 SAL – NON-Full Coverage Version – Part 3 (EARTH)

Welcome to the third part of the 2024 Paine Free Crafts Stitchalong

If you’ve just joined, this is the only file you need – as it contains part 1 & 2 as well 🙂

If you already bought earlier parts – just add this to your basket and check out.. it should automatically reduce your price down to ZERO cost. If it doesn’t, please let us know and don’t finish the check out!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The little fire elemental was lonely in their volcano home. It was too hot for many things to survive down here, and they were bored. They travelled to the edge of their rocky cave under the mountain and saw something splashing in front of him. What was this? A water elemental! Perhaps they could be friends?
Water and Fire had some fun, but they thought in very different ways. When they played together, Fire would evaporate some of Water’s river, and Water got sad. When Water splashed Fire, it made them fade a little. They decided that they needed to find someone else to join their group!
They emerged into the sunlight, and under a very large tree, they found a friendly looking creature, who introduced themselves as Earth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The theme is “Elemental Evolution”. The picture shown is NOT the finished piece.. we’ve applied a paintshop effect to hide later parts (well, mostly…)

The cost is a one-off cost – and covers you for the whole stitchalong.

Kits are available as well as just PDFs – we will NOT be issuing printed charts.

There are two versions available – the full coverage version and the non-full coverage version (this listing) that is smaller, and contains blended stitches and backstitch.

The full coverage version can be found :

For those of you who use Pattern Keeper or Markup XP, please be advised that the full coverage version is fully compatible, but the smaller version has backstitch (and you will need to edit the key for the blended colours). You can still read the PDFs in either program, or a PDF reader, and work the backstitch from the PDF view.

You will be happy to know that when a new part releases, if you export your current chart progress, load in the new part, then import your stitching progress, your progress will show perfectly 🙂 (you will still need to enter the blended stitches again on later parts in the non-full coverage version though!).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you purchase this listing, you will find part 3 in your downloads tab in your account.  Part 4 will be released during the first week of August (to allow you to have made a reasonable start!) and each month after (there are only 5 parts, so the final part will be released in the first week of September). Please remember, as always, to save them to your local device, as the chart links will expire 2 weeks after purchase.
How you’ll get the later parts:
We’ll email you when they are released. They will be shown as a standard pdf listing – same price as signing up to the SAL in the first place. Those of you who’ve already bought this first part will find that magically the price reduces back down to zero on checkout 🙂   If it doesn’t, please don’t complete your order, just send us a message on the contact form and we’ll sort it out for you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Non-full coverage notes:  It’s possible to keep up with the SAL releases – you might want to make it your focus though!

The design is 420 x 108 stitches, and uses 99 DMC colours (and blends)

You’ll need fabric in any of the following sizes (these dimensions all allow a 3″ border both sides of the stitching)

14 count (or 28 count over 2):   36″ x 14″
16 count (or 32 count over 2): 33″ x 13″
18 count: 30″ x 12″
20 count: 27″ x 12″

Because there are blends and backstitch, we don’t recommend you use a higher count than 20.

Floss usage can be found here (calculated for 25 count, using 2 strands of floss over 1 thread, other choices will change amount of floss needed)
