Old Shale Cowl Pattern (knit)

This elegant cowl is stunning to look at and much easier to knit than it looks. It’s a simple repeating pattern that gradually increases, with the extra stitches being worked into the pattern almost invisibly.

Yarn : approx 100g (205m) of 4ply (fingering weight) yarn + 25g (205m) of laceweight mohair yarn, knit together throughout.

I used Pernilla 100% Peruvian Highland Wool (175m/50g) in colour 954 and Sandnes Garn “Tynn Silk Mohair”(57% mohair, 28% silk, 15% wool) (212m/25g) in colour 1022.

Alternatively, you could use DK (light worsted) held singly.

Pattern includes both written instructions and a stitch diagram.
