Celtic Waves Sock Pattern (knit)

£3.00

Pattern for making your own Celtic Wave socks!

You’ll need : 100g fingering (4ply) sock yarn, 2.25mm needles, and this pattern.

It is made: cuff down, with modified strong heel, sideways toe. It uses twisted stitches for beautiful stitch definition.

It’s not as difficult as it sounds – but it will keep you interested all the way through!

Description

This pattern uses a lot of twisted stitches to get gorgeous stitch definition.

There are celtic knot cables in between longer sections of eyelet patterning, with zigzaggy โ€œwavesโ€ on either side.

The heel is an unusual, but easy construction – a variant on the โ€œstrongโ€ or โ€œfleegleโ€ type heel.

The toe is the โ€œsidewaysโ€ toe because it fits the pattern so well.

I used a single skein of Opal (100g) and had about 20g leftover after making a pair of the medium size.

Charts for all 3 sizes are included as well as written instructions, and optional slipped stitch/EoP heel patterning.
